Digital strategy and architecture professionals can now also call on new techniques including enhanced machine learning features <\/a><\/span>and graph analytics\u00a0<\/span>to\u00a0<\/span>increase data fidelity and\u00a0<\/span>calculate\u00a0<\/span>business-outcome focussed KPIs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMachine learning will never replace enterprise architects or digital strategy managers,\u201d said O\u2019Neill. \u201cBut it can help clear a key hurdle by allowing a partial dataset with missing values to become usable.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cArchitects and data scientists can increase speed and productivity by reviewing and accepting machine-learning-generated values, producing a<\/span>\u00a0more complete dataset quickly.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Further verification\u00a0<\/span>of the synthetic data can continue in the background, confirming accuracy or increasing confidence inte<\/span>rvals.\u00a0<\/span>Architects can get on with\u00a0<\/span>modeling<\/span>, running analytics and\u00a0<\/span>planning.<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Knowledge graphs are really coming of age and looking towards the 2020s Gartner has predicted that graph analytics are\u00a0<\/span>also\u00a0<\/span>maturing.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

O\u2019Neill said:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cLike any popular technology, the proof is in how\u00a0<\/span>easily\u00a0<\/span>user<\/span>s can execute with\u00a0<\/span>it<\/span>. ABACUS\u2019<\/span>\u00a0no-code analytics engine allows users to assemble calculations from data held in\u00a0<\/span>its<\/span>\u00a0graph database. Both technical and business users can tailor analytics and metrics\u00a0<\/span>such as\u00a0<\/span>cost, performance and other KPIs, and then use these to map out scenario options.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s also important to be able to distil these forecasts down to simple visualization. A new Graph View visual in\u00a0<\/span>our\u00a0<\/span>ABACUS 7\u00a0<\/span>release\u00a0<\/span>offers real-time interaction with the graph database. Users can explore connections, relationships, and structure and function of architectures visually.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ABACUS 7<\/a> will also include new interactive Gantt charts for tracking timelines of projects and technology. These update automatically as users change architecture data. Architects can also draw attention to specific data by saving\u00a0<\/span>filters in dashboard URLs, then provide these pre-filtered dashboards to users.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
